The Daytime Running Lights have stopped working on my 95 suburban. the low beams work ok. it seems strange that both would go out at the same time. Any ideas? I see the questions on the newer models. not sure if they are similar to mine.

have you checked the fuses? if the fuse is ok then i would check the ground. Oh and check the bulbs too these are too common to go out.

Fuses are good. Arent the DRL's and Headlights the same lights? Seems pretty strange that both DRL's would go out at the same tmie. Does anyone know how to change the relay itself?

If it is not the light switch itself, then it could be the multifunction switch. I am no tech, just one that has done this before. I had high beams but no low beams. The switch controls turn signals, cruise, wipers, and your high & low beams with the hazards on top. I believe there are threads on this. You can buy the part on internet new for less than $130. Even Auto Zone has them too I believe. I bought one on internet and was made in tawain. Everything works now. Not sure but can be done. Let us know what you end up doing. Dave

the drl's are not the same as the headlights on my 01 they use bulb 3157LL and i have changed both mine
check to see if your parking brake is slightly engaged - that would prevent them from coming on

Is it possible that the problem is the relay itself?

psuchewinner,
I have this exact same issue with my 96 K1500. If I remember correctly, our DRLs are actually our "high beam lights" but powered at a lower voltage (or is it wattage?), therefore, they are not as bright as when our lights are "on" and the high beams are in use. Like you, I have full use of parking, low, and high beams.
At any rate... I don't know the answer, so I'll keep an eye on this post and see who can help both of us out...

Should be your drl module. Check the relay in the left ip above where your left foot would be drivers side under dash.
