I have a 1992 Silverado with 330,000 Kms or 200,000 miles, what degree would you suggest setting the timing at? Advanced or retarded? I don't believe it has been rebuilt and everything is stock. Thanks.

Mitchell is showing that the timing be set at 0 degrees.

Thanks for the info, but, where is the spark timing by-pass connector Located at? I've never even heard of one of these. I sure do miss my old 81 Camaro with a carburetor and zero sensors, so much easier to work on.

there should be a 2 wire harness near the distributor. Usually taped to another harness. There is a gray plug in it that should pull out.
With the key off, pull the plug, start the engine, the check engine light should come on, time the engine, turn the key off, replace the connector, and start the engine. Check engine light should be off and it should run good

Thank you, I'll find a timing light and give it a try.
