i have taken this blazer to a mechanic and he couldnt figure it out. what happens is after you run the blazer long enough for it to warm up, it starts flooding out and trying to die. if I kill it I have to wait a while before it will start. after it starts it shoots dark smoke out of the tailpipe. and you can smell the gas.

to give you an idea, at first i didnt have a clue what was going on with it. i did a tune up and replaced the fuel filer. Any help is appreciated.

thanks

Can you check for codes? Another thing to check, might be the CTS. The CTS may be giving the computer the wrong info. How is the fuel pressure? I'm not saying to replace anything, just, do some tests.

Could be a temperature sensor malfunction... thinking the engine is cold.

I have had the same exact problem with my 2000 chevy blazer and have come to find out from my own playing it was not the fuel it was the chock set in the wrong position.. I adjusted the choke and POW there was my problem...
