Hey everyone.I need some help. The 1989 S-10(4x4 with a 4.3 liter V6)I got runs really great on warm and cold days. But in the summer when it gets pretty hot out the engine likes to shut off.I can't really figure out what the problem is.Maybe a sensor?Anyone got a good idea of what it is or could be?Thanks a lot.

Could possibly be the intake temperature sensor. it'll make it run really lean and shut off if it thinks the incoming air is too hot.

I assume you checked the basic thermostat, and aux fan during high temp, that they are engaging?

I haven't really gotten a good chance to look at it since I just got it and have been driving my Silverado.I wanna get the S10 complete first. But I'll be working on it a lot more this weekend since it'll be at my house now.I'll check them.
