Hello,
I screwed up. Seeking help.
I am installing a replacement wiring harness from Painless Wiring. Part of the process is taking the existing wire harness connector on the steering column and removing the wires then using the connector housing on the new harness. I removed the wires from the existing connector without recording which colors were in which positions. I am hoping someone here can lend a hand.
I am seeking the wiring diagram (colors, order) for the half moon connector that connects the cab side main wire harness to the steering column. The wire harness side of the connector. The sterring column side goes to the turn signal switch, horn, hazard, etc. The side I need is the one going to the fuse block. The colors are not the same on both sides of the connectors when mated
Can someone post a picture of their existing steering column connection so I could use it to rewire mine?
Thanks!
Jeff

If you get a repair manual it will have a wiring diagram in it.

I have two repair manuals, Chilton and Haynes. Neither show the actual wire colors for that connection.
I was hoping someone might post a picture of their steering column wire harness (properly wired).

Well according to my Haynes manual it shows the wire connections as follows :
Side 1 Side 2 ( mating side )
B B
LBL B/LBL
LBL
DBL DBL
DBL
BRN BRN
PPL PPL
Y B/Y
DG DG
W B/W
In that order and with the connector as shown in your picture ( with the wires next to it ) starting from top down. The two LBL get joined together at the same point and the two DBL do the same thing.
