I have noticed a much larger exhaust tip on the 6.2l Denali and Escalade. Is the rest of the system larger than what is on the Tahoe? I know the obvious reason is the Denali and Escalade have 400 hp.

Get a nice big tip for yours, they don't cost that much.

Don't know about the 6.2Ls but the 5.3Ls are 2 3/4" all the way back. I think the 6.2L has a little more aggressive sound.

Sorry for being so bleak.... Exhaust systems aren't put there just for sound and fuel economy. The exhaust diameter can't be too big because a certain amount of backpressure is needed to keep pressure in the cylindars. The exhaust diameter can't be too small because too much back pressure will cause the engine to run hard.
