350ci Gas mileage?

Newbie here guys, so forgive me if this has already been posted. I tried finding it in the archieves and didn't have any luck. I'm the proud new owner of a 97 Tahoe with the 5.7L(350), and was curious what people with this motor/vehicle generally get for gas mileage. I know its not a Geo Metro, so I'm not expecting 20's but am interested to hear what others are getting.

Flynbryan, I own a 1999 and I bought it new. I've have 170,000 miles on it now. My average mileage has been 15. The best was 18 on a trip not running the air-conditioning and trying to keep the rpm's around 2200. (Not an easy thing to do) Enjoy your new ride! Dondobe

Thanks Dondobe, thats about what I was expecting as well...... My Ram with the 318 got 13.5 , so anything over that will be an improvement.
