I have a spot for a second battery in my 07 suburban and just happen to have a extra brand new DieHard SUV battery that I just don't want to let sit a rot.

What will I need to install the DirHard battery in my suburban if it is at all possible?

Would it be a benefit or an over kill on the alternator?

I was wondering the same thing.  I have had issues with the BCM running the battery down and even after 2 trips to the dealership the battery still seems to run down quickly.  Although we do a lot of lake & tailgating with the rear hatch open & radio on.  I think adding a second battery would help with this situation.  Just leery about adding anything to the electrical system on these high tech machines.
Can this be done safely w/o voiding any warranty items, etc...?

Thanks for any feed back...

There is a post on here about the second battery tray. ZX gave us all the info. I don't know exactly where the post is.

I think this is going to be my first mod. Would this void my warranty?

Try doing a search on second battery.  One of the threads mentioned a GM harness to use to do it with so shouldn't affect your warranty.

One of the members here had the dealer do the install just to be safe

Not too sure about understanding those schematics, I'll go check with my service dept. Should be fun...
