The local paper automotive scribe wrote up his test drive of subject truck. He noted that the gauges were hard to read on cloudy days and would be better if illuminated. Since I saw elsewhere on this forum that the 08 Tahoes did have inst. lites on all of the time, was wondering why the Yukons didn't also.
He was very positive about the truck otherwise.

The 08 Yukon's gauges are illuminated as well. at key on.
I wonder if the writer didn’t drive a pre-production or 07 unit.

Any chance the 07s will get that feature? Probably slim & none?

To implement this feature the gauges need replaced, it isn't a simple software update.
So it is very unlikely that 07 owners will see a this.
