2007 Tahoe Climate Control ... and other questions

I'm the proud owner of an 07 Silver Birch Tahoe LT1. After several years of owning imports, I thought I'd contribute to GM's return? I couldn't pass up the deal, but its only option is side airbags, which is great for the family. I want to add Navigation and, thanks to all of you, that appears to be a straightforward upgrade, as does remote start.
 
What I'd like to add is climate control. Is this only a matter of changing out the dash control unit or are there more sensors needed? For a person of adequate capabilities (installed Remote start, stereos, power mirrors, etc) with a decent multi-meter, is this a do-able upgrade?

I imagine Dave/ZX can give you the lowdown on changing the climate control.  I assume you are talking about putting in the automatic system.  I suspect that will entail more that the in-dash control unit and sensors but maybe not.

Any thoughts about converting from manual to climate control? Is it just a matter of swapping out the control?

i believe this was talked about on another thread on here. from what i remember it was not possible because the digital climate control has a different wiring schematic... try doin a serach for climate controls in this section..
