Does anyone own a 2005 with the duramax engine, that has 2 two thousand miles or more on it . I own a 2500HD and it currently has 2900 miles and has a terrible knocking, ticking noise that sounds like the engine is about to sling apart at 2000 rpm. GM is telling me this is a natural characteristic of the diesel motor

My buddy has one and it has never sounded any different. Sounds like the dealership is giving you a story. Hope you don't have any problems! jerry at

General Motors recently bought my truck back under the Ga Lemon Law, but I still had to put up a fight. Needless to say I own a F250 now.
