My 2002 trailblazer died nin the driveway and wont start or shift out of park.  It was running fine when it started torun rough. The began fluctuating around 50 mph and then it died. All of the accessories work fine, but when you turn the key to start it nothing happens. The turn signals do not work and none of the gauges work. The shift indicator light is the only thing that come on. I found the release on the console to shift to nuetral so i could move it to the street for the wrecker, but i want to know if there is anything else i can do.

Thanks

if its an AC delco battery- check the + terminal. been known to leak and eventually have the terminal break off or cause little power to get thru.....

I had the exact issue with my 2002 trailblazer.  The problem was the ignition switch had to be replaced.  I''m actually on my third ignition switch so i''m thinking this should be a recall, as I see this seems to be a common problem.
