2002 cavalier headlight socket melted

My 2002 cavalier keeps melting the drivers side headlight socket. I checked for bad wiring but found nothing. It always melts the center connector. This causes the light to be on but very dimm. Any ideas?? snubber38657.8154976852

have you checked the power level to that socket?

checked power with tester and its about 13v. I replaced the socket twice and they last about a month then i have to replace again
