i have a 2001 tahoe. it is my fiances so i dont get to feel the problem often nor do i know how long it went on before she decided to tell me. keep in mind this problem is intermittent. when i start the vehicle it does not want to start completly kind of bogs and the rpms jump around alittle. ill give it gas and it will be fine. it will drive perfect. it then every once in a while will completely shut off while driving like a light switch and start right back up immediatly. it is not throwing any codes. any help will be appreciated.
thanks myles

Try cleaning the throttle body. I used to have the same problem on a 2002 Denali and cleaning the throttle body cured it.

If you don't mind hit and miss troubleshooting then along with the above good suggestions some other things that may cause that problem are:
Fuel Pump going bad.
Faulty Crank-shaft Position Sensor
Faulty (ruptured diaphram) Fuel Pressure Regulator
Dirty or faulty fuel injector(s)
* Try running four 16oz bottles of Techron Fuel Injector Cleaner thorugh a full tank of fuel to clean injectors and fuel system.

You can afford a full tank of fuel?
