2001 suburban

I recently bought a 2001 suburban...week later it was stolen...was recovered a couple days later, and now engine starts but shuts off after a second or two.  Could this be the alarm not sensing the computer ship in the key? or is this a engine problem? Someone help PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no chip in the key.
 
Is the ignition switch runined or was it replaced ??
