Changed out plug wires, plugs, and fuel filter also cleaned MAF. I now am experiencing surging under acceleration with steady foot pressure on gas. Appreciate any suggestions

Also for those who do this, Chevy used 2 coil types in 2000, Delphi and Mitsubishi so they also have 2 types of plug wires make sure you get right ones.

AC Delco plugs and wires. Fuel pressure regulator is good. Also ran a couple of cans injector cleaner from GM. Not sure of next step. Thanks for reply.

Thanks for your link to tests. Should keep me busy for awhile.  Will follow up with any resolution or ................ I suppose I could trade it in.

What did you clean MAF with? The GM injector cleaner?

Yes, I used GM''s product to clean MAF. I''ve decieded to try cleaning out the top end by using Seafoam. When done plan on at least looking at the new plugs I just put in, change if necessary + change out oil and filter. I''m going to do this over the weekend and will do follow up with post on Monday.

In the past I''ve cleaned the MAF on other GM cars/ trucks but usually its a hesitation issue that was the problem.

OK it took a while to get to it but I de-carboned the top end with Sea Foam. 1st. lots more pep and it seems to help my surge issue. I was also told to look at my egr so see what happens
