Which rides better?  My dad is ordering a 2007 this week and wants the best ride possible.

I dont think you can tell a difference between 17" and 20". But I would recommend going to the nearest dealer and test driving both.

17's obviously have a better ride, MORE RUBBER!  However, I have had 17's, 20's, and 24's.  I would go with looks over ride anyday!  The tahoe in general is a great riding vehicle!  NO matter what size wheel  you go with the ride will still be better than most other vehicles.

20"s are becoming the norm.  I was a little sketical getting 20's at first (never had anything over 18" before), but the Tahoe rides so well that the 20's ride great.  Bear in mind I do have the auto-ride suspension and not sure how it would ride without auto-ride.

Like another post before mine - go to the dealer and try them both out.

I had 18's on my last Tahoe and it was a very smooth ride.  The 20's on my '07 might ride a little rougher but the handling seems to be alot better.  (I don't have auto-ride)  I'd vote for the 20's, but it's worth taking a test drive like the others said.
