1992 cupholder question

Ok so in my truck is does not have this cupholder:

 
I'm wondering, if it's possible to just buy that piece and attach it to my current dash or if i'd have to just buy a completely new dash with the cupholder attatchment already added?

That cup holder can be purchased separately, you then remove the two screws under the edge of the dash, slip the cup holder in place and replace the screws.
