1989 S10 2.8L V-6 w/TBI fuel pressure ?

     I have a 1989 chevy S10 with a 2.8L V-6 w/TBI, that i am currently taking out the original gas tank with the in-tank fuel pump, and putting in a fuel cell with an inline pump.
 
     My question is what is the correct fuel pressure needed out of the pump to not cause any low or high fuel pressure issues?
 
     I have looked all around the web and called all kinds of different part stores, and have seen/heard everything from 5 - 66 psi.
 
     Does anyone know what the true correct fuel pressure should be for this particular vehicle?

Try a search, I yielded several answers to your question by searching.
 

     Well let me thank you for such a reply. I mean really, you yielded several answers by doing a search?? uh yeah thats my whole problem... many answers and all different. You know it might have been nice of you to... 1. put a link or two from things you found in your search, or 2. put down the info you found during your search, or even 3. inform of the terms used in your search, not just say hey go search. Oh well anyway, thank you so much again.

You obviously missed the point of my post ENTIRELY!  The point of a search is using criteria that others may have used.  Did you even try it instead of being a wise ass about my post?  Must not have...  How about 'fuel pressure' for a search criteria?  How about 'fuel problems'??? Help yourself instead of criticizing the involvement! 

My point here is that if you had made an attempt to search, you may have found threads on this VERY subject with minimal effort in less time, but hey, what the heck do I know...? Way to lash out though.  Gonna get lots of help around here with an attitude of "everyone give me an answer NOW!"...

My post was to teach you how to help yourself.  If you were interested in such a task, you would have comprehended that fact.......


That being said you should:
1. Find your own links from things found in YOUR search
2. READ the info found in your search
3. try variations of your problem to use in YOUR search

     Hmm.. I thought spending the last week searching the web, calling parts stores, and all that was helping myself ? Maybe I am mistaken, did you do all of that for me? No no, I'm pretty sure I did all of that myself.

ok well the answer you are looking for is right here. if you are working with a tbi system that has an electronic fuel pump, the pump needs to be able to push 7-10psi of fuel. being as that it is an inline pump it should be electric. you need to find atleast a 7psi inline electric fuel pump. anything less that that will not work

Thank you 2tall .. appreciate the help. like some people seem to miss i had done many searches and had come up with every answer from 5psi all the way to 65psi.. and was not sure of which one was correct. 

not a problem at all. i have run through the same experiences. i used to work in automotive repair shops and i am now ASE certified. more than likey the reason you came across so many diiferent ranges is because the psi is different after the fuel pump. it increases as it gets down the line for better injection. but with inline fuel pumps you wont be able to find one that goes up to 65 psi. it is pretty much based on the lines that create the pressure. but 7psi electronic inline fuel pump will work great. that is what i have used on all my blazers that i have and many different customers that have had them replaced

once again .. downgrading me .. wow you must have one hell of an insecurity to need to continually try and degrade people. Yes i came to the forum asking a question, only after searching through said forum and finding many different answers to my question, so posted one asking which one was correct. lets see.. "try a search" is helping someone help theirself? that shows your intellectual and maturity level, by your automatic assumtion that everyone new on here comes in asking a question without searching first.

Awesome, thanks again. I'm glad to find someone that has experience with this and knows whats going on. I'm lowering my truck extremely, so the stock tank had to go. I did find an inline fuel pump through Jeg's that was like 150psi with a regulator, but didn't want to pay the outrageous price for it, if I didn't need it. I have found an electric inline pump from Advanced that will go up to 15psi out of the pump, and has a built in adjustable regulator, so I will go with that one.
