I have a 2007 Suburban that I am looking at 20" Ice Metal 896 rims for..I currently have 17" rims on it and am wondering if anyone has changed from 17's to 20's. These will be 20x9 rims so they are a little wider..Can anyone one give me some insight on the ride and how these will work???? Any help is appreciated...Thanks..Also what would be a good riding tire to put on with the rim package??

I have a 2007 burb, changed my rims to 24"s. I got 285/40/24.  The ride is alittle different but I'm use to it now.

I have a 98 Suburban and I went for the stock 16s to 20s. This stiffened the ride a little due the the shorter sidewalls. I put 295/50/20 Goodyear Eagle GTs on my truck and I have 65k miles on them with still about 10k left. The wider tire DECREASED MY MPG by 1-2 MPG due to the increased rolling resistance of the wider tires. I bought my tires form Discount Tire (www.tires.com for their locations). I had them cut additional siping into the tires for better wet traction. I don''t know if this is why I am getting the mileage that I am out of them. Most reputable tire shops will tell you not to expect over 40k from most performance tires like this.
