If you burn the CDs with windows, it should put them in a "track" format that allows it to be used on any ordinary CD player.

First I would check the length of your CD. If over 60 minutes it probably will not play in any vehicle. I have tried that out in Fords, Gm, Chrysler , & some foriegn cars as well

You should have a music CD format... its not MP3 or wav... your burner should have a setting to make music CDs playable in CD players. You'll find the problem isn't your car, its the way you're burning the CD.

it could be the car...ford explorers have issues with burned CDs, as do uplanders, and Malibus as I said depends on the CD, Ventures have a hard time with them as well....GM wont warranty it either if I burnt one is pulled out of there....and they have to replace the unit..
